Roof Repair in Monmouth County, NJ

When a roof leaks, you need someone who finds the source and fixes it right the first time. We're a GAF Master Elite® certified contractor. We've been doing roof repairs across Monmouth County since 2008, and we respond fast to leaks, storm damage, and everything in between.

What We Repair

A roof leak usually shows up somewhere different from where it started. Water travels along rafters and sheathing before it drips through a ceiling. We start with the source, not where you see the damage inside.

Leak detection and source repair

Most leaks trace back to failed flashing around a chimney, pipe boot, or skylight. We identify the actual source and repair it properly. Patching over symptoms without finding the cause doesn't hold.

Wind and storm damage

Wind at 50+ mph can lift shingles or ridge caps. After a bad storm, call us before your insurance adjuster visits. We document the damage with photos and a written assessment, which matters when you're filing a claim.

Missing or cracked shingles

A few missing shingles sounds minor. Exposed roof deck absorbs moisture fast, and that leads to rot and mold. Fixing 5 shingles now is almost always cheaper than dealing with the rot damage in a year.

Chimney and skylight flashing

The metal flashing at roof penetrations fails before the shingles do in most cases. Sealants crack, metal shifts. We re-flash correctly and seal with roofing-grade materials built for NJ weather.

Ridge cap and valley repair

The ridge takes the most wind exposure on any roof. Damaged ridge caps are a frequent source of leaks that are hard to spot from the ground. We replace them in-kind, matching your existing profile.

What Roof Repair Costs in Monmouth County

Roof repair in NJ typically costs $300–$1,500 depending on damage type and extent. Here are rough ranges for common jobs:

Repair Type Typical Range
Shingle replacement (1–5 shingles) $300–$600
Flashing repair (chimney or skylight) $300–$700
Pipe boot replacement $200–$400
Ridge cap repair $400–$800
Larger storm damage (multiple sections) $800–$2,000+

These are estimates based on typical jobs in Monmouth County. Your actual cost depends on roof pitch, access, and current material prices. You get a written, line-item number before we start any work.

How the Repair Process Works

  1. 1

    Call or request online

Tell us what you're seeing. If it's an active leak, say so. We prioritize emergency calls and can usually get out same-day or next-day.

  2. 2

    Free roof inspection

We get on the roof, find the actual source of the problem, and check for secondary damage you can't see from inside. No charge.

  3. 3

    Written estimate

You get an itemized quote before we touch anything. Every line spelled out. No adjustments after the fact.

  4. 4

    Repair

We use GAF materials throughout. We match your existing shingle profile as closely as possible and clean up completely when we're done.

  5. 5

    Workmanship warranty

All repair work comes with a workmanship warranty. For larger repairs using a full GAF system, we can issue GAF warranty documentation as well.

Materials We Use

We use GAF materials on all repairs. For shingle replacements, that means GAF Timberline HDZ — the same shingle spec most Monmouth County roofs are built with. For larger section repairs, we install the full GAF system:

  • GAF Timberline HDZ or Timberline CS shingles
  • WeatherWatch® ice and water shield (valleys and eaves)
  • FeltBuster® synthetic underlayment
  • StainGuard Plus TIME™ ridge caps

As a GAF Master Elite® certified contractor, we carry the credentials to issue GAF warranty coverage. Less than 3% of roofers in the country qualify. Licensed and insured in the state of New Jersey.

Repair or Replace: How to Decide

The answer depends on the roof's age and the scope of the damage.

If your roof is under 15 years old and the damage is isolated, a repair almost always makes sense. A properly installed GAF roof doesn't fail uniformly. One bad flashing job doesn't mean the whole roof is shot.

If it's 20-plus years old, or you've repaired the same spot twice already, that calculation changes. At that point, a repair might buy you 2–3 more seasons but you're spending money on a roof near end of life. We'll give you an honest read at inspection. If replacement makes more financial sense, we'll say so.

Working With Insurance

If a storm hit your area, call us before your insurance adjuster shows up. We can document the damage thoroughly, which matters when claims are reviewed.

Storm damage from wind and hail is often covered. Wear-and-tear repairs generally are not. We don't file claims for you, but we can walk you through what we found and provide photos and a written damage assessment.

"I had a couple cracked shingles and some flashing that needed to be redone, which I kept putting off until the last storm. They came out to Tinton Falls, explained what they were fixing, and had it wrapped up the same day. I'm just glad the drip by the upstairs window is gone."
